Jennie, Licensed LVT
Practice Manager Jennie has been working at St. Johns Animal Clinic as a Licensed Veterinary Technician since 2001 and was recently promoted to Practice Manager. She has an Associate Degree in Accounting from LCC, and a Bachelor of Science with her Major in Veterinary Technology from Michigan State University. She loves hunting and having fun with friends and family. She grew up in Ovid, Michigan but now lives in Westphalia, Michigan with her loving husband, Marty. They have two sons. The oldest, Jensen, is the math/science guru of the family. He also is an awesome Trombone player. The youngest son, Avery, is the runner of the family that keeps mom busy with various Cross Country and Track meets. She has 3 kitties: Toby, Mittens, and Leia. Toby is an orange cat with attitude. When she was asked if the cat would bite, she just shrugged and said maybe to the staff. Miss Mittens loves to play fetch. She would “chirp” then run back with whatever she was playing with and place it in your lap for you to throw it again. Leia aka “The Devil” is a high energy kitten with no fear. Leia often gets herself in trouble, but we still adore her. Jennie enjoys working at the clinic and considers her coworkers a second family. She also finds a deep satisfaction in helping clients with their pets and enjoys seeing the longtime clients. |

Jessica, Licensed LVT
Jessica, a lifelong resident of St. Johns, pursued her passion for working with animals after exploring various opportunities. In 2021, she enrolled at Baker College and graduated from its accelerated Veterinary Technology program in May 2023. Fresh out of college, she joined the St. Johns Animal Clinic team, and her dedication paid off when she passed her licensing exam in July 2023! At the clinic, Jessica appreciates the variety her role offers. She finds joy in caring for every animal that comes through the door—whether collecting patient histories, monitoring anesthesia during surgery, or performing other vital tasks. Outside of work, Jessica leads a lively home life with her significant other, Josh, and their three wonderful children—Gabriel (her eldest), Stella (her bonus daughter), and Esther (their youngest). Their home is shared with various animal friends, starting with their family dog, Marshmallow: a beloved “pure-bred mutt” who joined the family eight years ago and humorously isn’t too thrilled that his owner now works for his veterinarian. Jessica also has a bearded dragon named Kaz: who enjoys summer ‘walks’ in a harness perched on her shoulder as well as, three semi-aquatic turtles: Plisken, a spirited painted turtle (watch your fingers!); Meryl, a cuddly map turtle and personal favorite (don’t tell the other turtles); and Colonel Campbell, a rescued red-eared slider who’s just grateful to be part of the family. For Jessica, combining her love of animals with her career is a true blessing, and she is thrilled to work at a clinic that’s been a part of her community for so long. |

In December 2024, Cassie joined St. John’s Animal Clinic, and is excited to continue growing in her field. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her 4-year-old mastiff mix, Frankie, who loves going on walks, playing with his squeaky toys, and—most of all—taking long naps. In Cassie's free time, you can find her reading, crafting, or experimenting in the kitchen. |
